Annual inflation in the eurozone stable at 2.6 percent in September, the European Union's (EU) statistical office Eurostat reported on Tuesday.
Monthly inflation was 0.7 percent in September.
As for 27-nation EU, annual inflation rate was 2.7 percent, while monthly inflation rate was 0.6 percent for the month.
The lowest annual rates in September were observed in Greece (0.3 percent), Sweden (1.0 percent), and Latvia (1.9 percent), and the highest in Hungary (6.4 percent), Romania (5.4 percent) and Estonia (4.1 percent).
As for eurozone, main components with the highest annual rates in September 2011 were transport (4.8 percent), housing (4.1 percent) and alcohol & tobacco (4.0 percent), while the lowest annual rates were observed for communications (-3.3 percent), education (0.5 percent), household equipment and recreation & culture (both 1.1 percent).
