The specific content focused by Mr. Yoshitomo Ishizaki at the meeting was the development of supporting industrial zone for stamping, casting industry in Vietnam. Mr. Yoshitomo Ishizaki shared, currently Vietnamese companies only produce raw materials as iron, steel; however, components consituted from these types of materials have not been able to be produced. These components are still currently imported from Taiwan, Korea, Japan ... with high prices. Meanwhile, Vietnam has the potential to develop this industry.

The current market demand for stamping, casting industry is great. However, the Vietnam only meets 10% of this demand and mainly domestic demand. Therefore, according to Mr. Ishizaki Yoshitomo, Vietnam should have the strategy, action plan to prioritize this sector in order to attract more investment into Vietnam market. If it is successful in stamping and casting industry, Vietnam can meet the needs of the domestic market and Southeast Asia.
Characteristics of the stamping and casting industry are thermal energy usage, noise emission; therefore it requires isolated industrial zones and equipments meeting environmental conditions. Besides, it is based on geographical and infrastructure criteria to build this kind of industrial zones. Japan is experienced in the development of supporting industries, especially stamping, casting industry and willing to share with Vietnam, said Mr.Ishizaki Yoshitomo.

Minister Bui Quang Vinh appreciated Mr. Ishizaki Yoshitomo’s desire and share. Minister Bui Quang Vinh said that Vietnamese Government had policies to attract foreign investment in general, to develop auxiliary industries in particular. However, the actual performance gain is not high. So, on the basis of the proposals of the representatives of Japanese companies, the Ministry of Planning and Investment is ready to cooperate to develop this industry in Vietnam.

According to Minister Bui Quang Vinh, the construction of industrial zone is not difficult, but it is important to attract investment and maintain operation at the industrial parks. It is concerned strongly by the Vietnamese Government. Government of Vietnam always creat good conditions for investors in terms of infrastructure and legislation.
Regarding the choice of location for the construction of this industrial park, Minister Bui Quang Vinh suggested Thai Nguyen, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Da Nang, Binh Duong, Ho Chi Minh City ... because there are large industrial areas, favorable geographical position, deep-water ports, good infrastructure and especially reasonable geology in these localities.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Yoshitomo Ishizaki affirmed that with current experiences, he is willing to coordinate with the Government and enterprises of Vietnam to develop this important industry, and he will call for Japanese industry associations and companies which are possibly to invest in Vietnam, helping Vietnam develop stamping and casting industry./.
