Vientiane (VNA) – Over 60 representatives from Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam gathered in Vientiane on November 18 to seek ways to manage the lower basin of the Mekong River.
Participants to the regional consulting conference held by the Mekong River Commission, discussed methods to improve environment in each country’ upstream area in the lower Mekong basin.
The two-day conference also dealt with the establishment of an action plan for the management of the lower basin of the Mekong River, which runs through four GMC member countries of Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam.
