First foreign employment firm licensed

Manpower Inc., a world leader in the employment services industry, has become the first 100 percent foreign-invested corporation to receive a licence to offer permanent employment services in Vietnam.
“It’s an honour to be the first global organisation to be awarded this privilege – a key role fueling the growth of Vietnam’s actively evolving labour market,” said Jeffrey A. Joerres, Manpower Inc.’s Chairman and CEO.

He stressed that the provision of more robust workforce solutions in Vietnam and across the Asia-Pacific region is a key part of the company’s growth strategy.

Manpower opened its first Vietnam branch in Hanoi in January 2008 and was granted a license, enabling it to provide human resources management and personnel restructuring services.

Established in 1948, Manpower now has more than 4,400 offices worldwide with total turnover approaching 22 billion USD. It specialises in providing recruiters with packaged personnel service solutions, from short-term and long-term labour contracts and staff recruitment and assessment to training, personnel restructuring and consultancy services.
