Finance ministers of the ASEAN+3 (China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea) will meet in Bali (Indonesia) to discuss follow-up actions on the Chiang Mai Initiative during the 42nd Asian Development Bank (ADB) governors meeting on May 2-5.
“There will be a meeting of the ASEAN+3 finance ministers to finalise the Chiang Mai Initiative talks,” Indonesian Finance Minister Sri Mulyani was quoted by Antara news agencies as saying on Apr. 22.
The meeting would discuss efforts to increase the collected funds to 120 billion USD, to distribute the funds among ASEAN+3 member countries, and a mechanism in using the funds, the official said.
In Bali, the ASEAN finance ministers would also hold a workshop with investors, he added.
