Cuban and Lao leaders affirmed to enhance solidarity, friendship and bilateral cooperation during their meeting in Havana on May 4th.
Cuban First Vice-President Jose Ramon Machado Ventura thanked the Laotian people for their solidarity towards the Cuban people, especially in their struggle against the US blockade.
Lao visiting Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh recalled Cuban president Raul Castro’s visit to his country in 2005, an occasion used to strengthen the historical bilateral ties.
Both leaders also talked about the international situation.
The two countries established their diplomatic ties in November, 1974./.
