The Indian government has provided 17.3 million USD loan to irrigation development project in Champassak province to ensure sufficiency in water supplying for dry season rice production, according to the Lao news agency (KPL).
The irrigation development project will be carried out by the Indian Hydropower Consultant Company after signing an agreement with the Lao Department of Irrigation took place in Vientiane this week.
The project is expected to be complete within 34 months./.
