PM Nguyen Tan Dung has just approved a project on rural water supply and sanitation in the Central Region, funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The project aims at considerably improving water accessibility and sanitary conditions for the rural population through building standard toilets and sewage collecting systems and small-sized drainage systems; improving the region’s management of water supply systems.
Six central provinces, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Nam, and Binh Dinh, will have water supply systems which can treat 13,000 cubic meters of water per day.
The PM assigned the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to coordinate with the provincial governments to outline, assess and approved the project under the current laws./.
