The PM has just agreed that the mid-term Consultative Group (CG) Meeting for Vietnam 2010 will be organized in Phu Quoc Island of the southern province of Kien Giang.

The Consultative Group (CG) Meeting for Vietnam 2009 opens in Ha Noi on December 3, 2009

The meeting is a forum for the Government of Vietnam and international donors to share opinions on socio-economic situations, review the realization of commitments made at the previous meeting, and discuss ways to improve efficiency of the aid.
The preparatory work is undertaken by the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), in coordination with the World Bank and relevant agencies.
The Government chief also asks the MPI to put into reality the commitments made at the CG Meeting 2009 on December 2-4.
At the CG Meeting 2009, donors pledged to offer Vietnam a record ODA sum of US $8 billion in 2010./.
