German e-magazine FruchtPortal has estimated that, with 554,000 ha of orchards, Vietnam can export over 3 million tons of fresh fruits each year.

According to FruchtPortal, 200,000 ha of coconut trees are grown in Vietnam

The export of Vietnamese fruits and vegetables has surged since November 2009 due to the higher global demand. Vietnam’s fruits are now available in 30 Asian, European and North American markets.
FruchtPortal also highly appreciated the establishment of the Vietnam Coconut Association, considering it an important factor to promote the development of the local coconut industry, assist coconut producers, processors and traders, and protect legitimate interests of its members.
According to FruchtPortal, 200,000 ha of coconut trees are grown in Vietnam, mainly in the Mekong Delta and southern coast. And Germany is a great importer of coconut to serve its liquor making industry.
