PM Dung revealed international reporters that the WEF on East Asia will be organized in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s biggest economic center.
He added that the Government of Vietnam is closely working with the WEF to design a useful agenda for enterprises, leaders, scholars and international media.
Mentioning Vietnam’s assumption of the ASEAN chairmanship in 2010,PM Dung underscored focuses and priorities followed by the country, namely enforcing the ASEAN Charter and building the ASEAN Community, strengthening cooperation to cope with global challenges, deepening and broadening ASEAN’s partnerships and the bloc’s role on the international arena.
As Chair of ASEAN, the Vietnamese PM conveyed to international friends the country’s message of peace, solidarity, friendship and cooperation.
To stand among industrialized countries by 2020, according to the Vietnamese Government chief, Vietnam is perfecting the market regime, fostering a fair competitive environment for all economic actors, boosting international integration, mobilizing all resources to upgrade its infrastructure, nurturing labor force, and promoting scientific and technological application.
The PM also satisfied international reporters’ interests in Vietnam’s measures to spur growth in 2010, maintain macro-economic stability, attract foreign investment and guarantee social security./.
