Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai on April 15 warmly welcomed President of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives Patrick Dewael who is on an official visit to Vietnam.
The Vietnamese Deputy PM took the occasion to express his gratitude to the Kingdom of Belgium for supporting Vietnam on different multilateral forums, selecting Vietnam as the only receiver in Asia of official development assistance (ODA) and protesting the EU’s anti-dumping tax on Vietnam’s leather-capped shoes.
Vietnam always attaches importance to nurturing the partnership with Belgium, said Deputy PM Hai.
President Patrick Dewael lauded the rising role and status of Vietnam in the international arena.
Both sides were unanimous in facilitating bilateral investment and trade in the domains of infrastructure, mechanics, new and renewable energy./.
