Vietnam will continue to spare no effort to spur the ties, particularly investment, trade and economics, said PM Dung during his meeting with Mr. Paul Keating on Thursday in Hanoi.
PM Dung took the occasion to call on Australian businesses to expand inbound operations in one of the fastest-growing economies in the world.
The Government chief thanked for Australia’s assistance to Vietnam in building the My Thuan Bridge - a symbol of the bilateral friendship and fine cooperation.
Vietnam, like other ASEAN member countries, advocates peace and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region through such mechanisms like ASEAN+1, ASEAN+3, East Asia Summit, APEC, ARF, and DOC, said PM Dũng.
Mr. Paul Keating said that he would continue to support the advancement of the bilateral relationship, and informed that many Australian enterprises are interested in the Southeast Asian market.
The guest especially praised Vietnam’s active role in boosting peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world as well./.
