Births of new enterprises in France reported 7.5-percent growth in August after falling two consecutive months, French national statistics bureau Insee said on Friday.
Enterprise births jumped by 27.8 percent excluding self-managed enterprises, said the seasonally and working-day adjusted data, compared to July data, while including the number of self-managed enterprises, France registered 41,697 new firms, up 7.5 percent over the period.
For the June-July period, the number of enterprise births decreased by 9.1 percent from the same period last year following sluggish activities of service sector, wholesale and retail trade.
In its monthly report, Insee noted one out of two enterprise births were self-managed enterprises, totaling 190,845.
