Vientiane (VNA) – A Vietnamese-funded tertiary school was inaugurated in the capital city of Vientiane, Laos, on November 19 by the finance ministries of Vietnam and Laos.
The Dongkhamsane Finance School project was approved in May last year by the Lao Finance Ministry. The project had an initial investment capital of 65 billion VND (about 4 million USD), of which 59 billion VND came from Vietnam’s official development assistance, and the remainder funded by the Lao government. Shortly afterwards, the cost of the project increased by almost 21 billion VND due to volatile prices.
The school includes two three-floor administration and classroom buildings, a three-floor dormitory, a canteen and a meeting hall.
The Vietnam Finance Ministry’s agencies also presented numerous gifts, including teaching aids and school equipment to the school.
