Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam (Doosan Vina) on November 13 in the Dung Quat Economic Zone completed the manufacture of the first evaporator for export to the Middle East.

The event of significance marks a new development of Vietnam’s machinery industry, which is able to produce heavy industrial products of large size, high sophistication and high added value.
After eighth months of manufacture, a huge desalination device, 4,000 tons in weight, can convert seawater into clean water for 250,000 people daily.
Doosan Vina revealed that this is one of the first six desalination machines which the company had contracted with its UEA’s partner.

Addressing the event, Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai praised both workers and staff of Doosan Vina for their efforts to ensure the schedule and quality for the evaporator.
Doosan Vina should mobilize external strengths, uphold experience, perfect skills for local laborers, and create a network of businesses as well as auxiliary production sites for new development impetus of Vietnam’s machinery industry, said the Vietnamese leader./.
