As part of his official visit to Italy, Deputy PM Nguyen Sinh Hung on Wednesday met with PM Silvio Berlusconi in Rome.

The two leaders briefed about the two countries’ recent socio-economic achievements and confirmed their political determination to boost cooperation between the two Governments.
The available bilateral commitments and agreements will be concretized to lay foundation for ministries and localities of the two sides to speed up cooperation.

Based on fine advancement of the bilateral ties, both Deputy PM Hung and PM Silvio Berlusconi agreed to task their competent bodies to open direct air route between the two countries.
They were also unanimous in expanding television relations to better advertise Vietnamese images in Italy and vice versa.
Mr. Silvio Berlusconi showed his impression on Vietnam and said he would visit Vietnam soon.
On the same day, the Deputy PM met with Italian Undersecretary to the PM Michela Brambilla.
Ms. Michela Brambilla said that Viet is Italy’s friendly tourist partner and asked her country’s tourism promotion agency to design specific cooperation programs with the Southeast Asian country.

Also on the same day, General Director of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) Tran Mai Huong and CEO of Italian National News Agency (ANSA) Giuseppe Cerbone signed a cooperation agreement for exchanging news and journalists./.
