With the two-way trade turnover of US $808 million in the first half of 2010, Russia became the 24th largest exporter and 14th biggest importer of Vietnam, said the Vietnam Customs.

Seafood is one of Vietnam’s major exports to Russia

According to the latest report of the Vietnam Customs, Russia was positioned 20th among Vietnam’s biggest trade partners in the first six months of 2010.
Vietnam pocketed US $300 million, up 65.9% against the same period last year, from exporting goods to Russia.
According to the Vietnam Customs, the big surge stemmed from sudden increases in the number of exports, such as seafood, rubber, oil and gas, coffee, pepper, computers as well as electronic spare parts. Especially, in June only, these types of exports brought about US $81.8 billion in turnover for Vietnam.
Vietnam’s imports from Russia are dominated by steel billet, fertilizers, and oil and gas./.
