The US enterprises noted that Vietnam has made tremendous progress in renovating the business environment and administrative procedures; maintaining macro-economic stability; and effectively coping with the global financial crisis and economic downturn.
Though the enterprises urged Vietnam to quickly improve infrastructure and lower interest rates, they still spoke highly of the country’s vast business opportunities.
State President Triet highlighted that Vietnam has gained an annual economic growth rate of 7% on average during the past 25 years of renovation. Last year, the national economy expanded at over 5%.
The Southeast Asian country entered the World Trade Organization (WTO) three years ago and it is actively integrating into the global system.
Vietnam is valued as a dynamic economy which lured investors from all over the world, especially those from the US. Now the US becomes one of the leading foreign investors in Vietnam.
Vietnam pays tribute to foreign investors through continuous improvement of its business environment, together with undeniable advantages like abundant young workforce, high technological capacity, and a big consumption market.
The Vietnamese leaders and competent agencies are ready to remove any difficulty faced by foreign investors, said President Triet. He even called the investors as Vietnam’s friends.
