Vietnam’s chemistry sector today witnessed an important achievement when the first tons of domestically-produced DAP fertilizer were officially debuted at the Đinh Vu Economic Zone in the northern city of Hai Phong.

At the ceremony, PM Nguyen Tan Dzung remarked the event an important advance in the development of the chemistry sector.
He lauded the Vietnam National Chemical Corporation (Vinachem) for its efforts to build and install the DAP fertilizer plant, equipped with advanced and environmentally friendly technical lines imported from Spain.
He also asked Vinachem to survey the possibility for a second DAP mill in Lao Cai Province.

The Đinh Vu DAP Fertilizer Plant was built for two years, requiring an investment capital of US $172 million. Its first products came out of the furnace on April 12.
With the annual output of 330,000 tons, the plant can save half of DAP fertilizer imported by Vietnam every year.
